Was it me, or did the 2024 NFL Draft just fly by?
Maybe it’s the shorter offseason for teams that play deep into the postseason, but it seemed like it wasn’t very long ago that the attention for the draft really got ramped up. Now, whoosh, it’s already over.
Then again, maybe that “whoosh” was the sound of new Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy flying by.
I’m not a draft expert, but I am a draft junkie. I sit in front of the TV for three straight days to see who ends up where. I love the process of teams rebuilding their rosters through the infusion of youth.
I also love to hear all the so-called “experts” predict how all 257 draftees will fit on their new rosters. If the Mel Kipers, the Louis Riddicks and the Field Yates of ESPN are to be believed, there were 257 future Hall of Famers drafted this past weekend.
